Banda Lágrimas do Sol formed in 2006 with Danilo Reis, Gustavo Pena, and Leandro Lopes. They spent their early years playing bars and clubs around Brazil, building a following through steady touring.
Their 2013 single "Capô do Carro" became a breakout hit, topping charts and establishing them in the sertanejo scene. Other songs like "Som da Pajero" and "De Golzinho" followed, maintaining their presence on Brazilian radio.
In 2017, original drummer Leandro Lopes left the band, though they continued performing with a replacement. They've released several albums including "Chora Viola" in 2009 and "Tô Passando Bem" in 2015.
