Banda Largha com H came out of the Brazilian rock scene in the 1980s, led by Ivan Santos. Their 1986 album 'Eu Sou Um Pássaro' gave them their most recognizable song, which became something of an anthem in Brazil. They put out several records through the early 1990s, including 'Asas Livres' in 1988 and 'Terra' in 1994.
Their music could be experimental, and that sometimes caused friction. There's a story about a show in São Paulo where the audience heckled them, and Santos responded by challenging the crowd about the music industry. Other songs like 'Meus sentimentos' and 'Surfar nas suas lágrimas' show the band's focus on lyrics.
The existing history lists a core lineup with some very famous Brazilian names, but that detail feels a bit suspect for a rock band of this era. It's safer to say the group worked with various musicians around Santos. They were active through the mid-90s, and their earlier work, especially the song 'Eu Sou Um Pássaro,' is what people tend to remember.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
