Banda Layout formed in São Paulo in 2001 with Bruno Gouveia, Rodrigo Fonseca, Marcelo Salazar, and Rafael Alves. Their first album, "Quando Você Acorda," came out in 2004 and got them noticed nationally. The song "Pra nunca mais te ver aqui" arrived the next year and became their most recognizable track.
Marcelo Salazar left the band in 2008, and Leandro Matheus joined on guitar. They kept making albums like "A Oferta" and "O Amor e o Tempo." Another song people know is "Seja Feliz."
There were some claims from critics about plagiarism, which the band denied. They released "Do Lado de Dentro" in 2015.
