A regional Mexican band that found its voice in the late 1990s and kept recording.
For a sense of their early sound, try "Me Está Gustando." For something later, "Que No Me Quieras" shows their consistency.
They came up with the 1997 album "Para Siempre," which had the single "Me Está Gustando." That song gave them a real push in the regional Mexican scene. You can hear their traditional banda instrumentation mixed with norteño and cumbia rhythms in tracks like "Una Peda Con El Viejo" and later songs like "Que No Me Quieras."
Banda Los Recoditos formed in Mazatlán, Mexico in 1989, started by Freddy Sánchez. The band went through a significant change in 1999 when Sánchez left after legal troubles, and Samuel Sarmiento stepped in as a vocalist. They kept recording and touring with Sarmiento and another vocalist, Luis Ángel Franco.
