Banda M.A.L.U came together in Sinaloa, Mexico in the early 2000s. The group was led by vocalist Jose Angel Ledezma, with Juan Antonio Cerritos on trumpet, Diego Garcia on tuba, and Enrique Hernandez on drums.
Their 2009 song "Amor Destilado" became their breakthrough track, connecting with listeners across Mexico. The band's sound worked with the brass and rhythm section typical of banda music, heard on songs like "Sem Dedos Cruzados" and "Cadela Blues."
They released several albums including Amor Destilado in 2009, Adicto a Ti in 2011, and El Amor de mi Vida in 2015. Their catalog also includes tracks like "Catarina" and "Pirilampo do Agreste."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
