Banda MIKD formed in 2010 with Marcelo Lima on vocals, Igor Carvalho on guitar, and Diego Rodrigues on drums. They started playing small venues before their 2015 single "Mulheres de Verdade" brought them wider attention.
That song sparked some debate about its lyrics, but it became their breakout track. They've put out albums like "Só Pra Te Ver Sorrir" in 2016, "Amores Reais" in 2018, and "Boteco do MIKD" in 2020.
Their lineup changed over time, with Rafael Martins on bass and Anderson Silva on drums joining later. They've worked with other Brazilian artists including Wesley Safadão, Solange Almeida, and Marília Mendonça.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
