Banda Milagres

Banda Milagres formed in 1999 in Feira de Santana, Bahia, with three founding members: Welliton, Carlinhos, and Gil. They started playing songs that drew from forró and axé, and their 2002 single "Minha Formatura" became a national hit. That song about graduation day connected with listeners and gave the band its first real break.

Their music often works with Brazilian rhythms like forró, and they've put out albums with titles like "Nosso Amor é Milagre" and "Forró do Milagres." Other songs in their catalog include "Caminhando," "Eu Faço Parte," and "Dono do Poder." The current lineup includes Welliton on vocals and guitar, Carlinhos on vocals and bass, and Gil on vocals and accordion, along with a few other musicians.

In 2007, there was some public discussion about whether their song "Balança o Bumbum" borrowed too much from another work, though the band denied any plagiarism. They kept performing and recording after that, with songs like "Novo Dia" and "Já Posso Ouvir" appearing in their setlists.
