Banda Orbita Planetaria formed in São Paulo in 2006. They started out playing small venues around the city, developing a sound that mixed rock, pop, and electronica. The band is built around vocalist and guitarist Igor Caracas, bassist Bruno Guedes, and drummer André Julião.
Their 2010 debut album, "Universo Paralelo," included the single "O Melhor Pra Você," which became a hit in Brazil. Another track from their catalog, "Um Dia de Cada Vez," also found an audience. The band's live shows developed a reputation for being energetic and emotionally direct.
In 2015, they faced some public criticism after a concert where they were accused of using offensive language on stage. The band apologized and said they wanted to focus on building a more respectful music community.
