Banda Perphil formed in 2005 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, with Fabrício Costa on vocals and guitar, Jefferson Fraga on backing vocals and guitar, Guilherme Barbosa on bass, and Marcelo Silva on drums. Their sound pulled from samba, sertanejo, and reggae, and they built a local following before breaking through nationally in 2011 with the hit "Dizem Por Aí." That song, along with others like "Porque Te Amo" and "Tudo Passa," connected with listeners through straightforward lyrics about everyday pressures and relationships.
They released albums like "Sem Medo de Amar" in 2012, "Pra Ser Feliz" in 2015, and "Em Busca do Sonho" in 2018. The band worked with other Brazilian artists including Marcos & Belutti, Thiaguinho, and Matheus & Kauan. In 2016, Fabrício Costa left the group, and Théo Allan took over as lead singer.
