Banda Pescadores de Almas formed in Salvador in 1994 with vocalist Alexandre Carlo. Their debut album 'Samba-Rock' came out the following year, mixing heavy rock with Brazilian influences. The band's 1997 album 'Amanhã' gave them their commercial breakthrough, with the title track becoming a radio staple.
The band kept releasing albums like 'O Som da Liberdade' in 2000 and 'Terra de Ninguém' in 2004 despite lineup changes that saw members like bassist Chico Chico and drummer Sérgio Bezerra depart.
Later albums included 'Eu Sou' in 2012 and 'Pela Vida' in 2017. Other songs in their catalog include 'Então Vem', 'Na Trilha', 'Pra onde o vento me soprar', and 'Tetelestae'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
