Banda R Vox formed in Goiânia, Goiás in 1988 with Fábio Henrique on vocals, Robson Melo on drums, Luiz Carlos on bass, and Rafael Xavier on guitar. They started playing local bars and events, mixing sertanejo with romantic pop. Their 1991 debut album 'Amor em Alto Mar' included the hit 'Família J.A,' which became widely popular across Brazil.
In 1992, the band faced legal issues over an unauthorized melody, forcing them to re-record some early tracks. Keyboardist Wilson Sapo left in 2000 due to creative differences, which caused some fan concern. Despite these interruptions, they kept releasing albums like 'Alma Serrana' in 1994 and 'Festa no Interior' in 1997.
The lineup changed over time with members like Danilo Teixeira and Junior Martins joining, but Fábio Henrique remained as the consistent vocal presence. They put out live recordings and anniversary projects, including '25 Anos' in 2013.
