Banda R.A.J.19 formed in Fortaleza in 1996, taking their name from a local nightclub that was known for forro music. The group's core lineup has included Rogério Vianna on vocals, Alex Ribeiro on accordion, Junior Vianna on guitar, and Alan Pinheiro on bass.
Their 2003 album "Declaração" brought them wider attention, with the title track becoming one of their most recognizable songs. They followed it with albums like "O Último Canto" in 2006 and "Vida Boa" in 2010.
While working within forro traditions, their music has incorporated other influences over time. Songs like "Encontro Eterno" and "Sempre a Te Esperar" show their approach to melody and arrangement.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
