Banda Ritmos Show formed in Jequié, Bahia in 1993, with Robson on vocals, Netinho on guitar, and Alex on bass. Their debut album 'Ritmos Show' came out in 1995 and included what would become their signature song, 'Alvo dos Meus Carinhos.'
In 1998, their drummer Fabiano died in a car accident. The band kept going after that, though the sound they'd built around lively percussion and straightforward pop melodies had to adjust.
They had other songs that stuck around too, like 'Barreiras' and 'Confesso Que Te Amo.' The music was never particularly complicated, just regional rhythms done up for a pop audience, with lyrics that felt direct enough to connect.
