Banda RockaBilly came together in São Paulo in 1997, with Johnny Luxo out front. Their first album, 'Roda Gigante,' came out in 1999 and did well enough to get them touring around Brazil and South America.
They played a mix of rockabilly, surf rock, and punk. The bassist Paulo Rockabilly left in 2003, replaced by Fernando Rockabilly. In 2006, another band accused them of plagiarizing the song 'Me Beija,' which led to a legal fight they eventually won.
