Banda Snox formed in Salvador, Bahia, with vocalist Márcio Victor at the front. Their debut album came out in 1990, and they've been part of the Brazilian axé scene since the late 1980s. Songs like "Já Não Te Quero Mais" and "Agora É Pra Valer" became hits, showing their mix of axé rhythms with pop accessibility.
Their lineup has included keyboardist Rogério Cruz and percussionist Luizinho do Jegue alongside Victor. They've worked with other Brazilian artists like Ivete Sangalo and Daniela Mercury. Albums such as "Eu Quero Tchu, Eu Quero Tcha" from 1997 and "O Mundo É Meu" from 2000 continued their run through the 2000s.
In 2009, they faced plagiarism accusations over the song "Toma Lá, Dá Cá," which were settled out of court. They kept releasing music into the 2010s with records like "Na Veia" and "Tá na Hora."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
