They released their debut album 'Sobrecarga' in 1994, which included the song 'A Dor' that became a hit in Brazil.
That track, along with others like 'Bloodthirst (Sede de Sangue)' and 'She Wants To Kill,' carried a raw, introspective quality that connected with listeners. The band's lyrics often dealt with themes of pain and loss, delivered with a direct emotional intensity. They put out several more albums through the late 1990s, including 'O Peso do Mundo' in 1995 and 'III' in 1997.
Supla left the band in 2001, and Banda Sobrecarga continued to release music and perform sporadically afterward.
