Banda Solar

Banda Solar formed in São Paulo with Marcos Pontes on vocals and guitar, Fabio Zanutto on bass, and Pedro Linares on drums. Their first album, 'O Tempo Que For,' came out in 2018. The title track, a slow, drifting piece about time passing, got some attention and helped define their sound.

They followed that with albums like 'Visão Celeste' and 'Mundos Paralelos,' which kept working with the same kind of spacey, thoughtful rock. The songs tend to move at their own pace, with lyrics that lean toward reflection rather than storytelling. 'Vinte' and 'Em Frente Ao Mar' are good examples of that mood, patient, a bit hazy, grounded more in feeling than in sharp hooks.

In 2021, there was some noise about another artist claiming one of their songs sounded too similar to an older piece. It didn't go anywhere legally, but it hung around for a while in conversations about the band. They kept putting out music after that, sticking to what they do.
