Banda Teen formed in São Paulo in the early 1990s with five members: Paula Lima, Júlio Campos, Sérgio Loroza, Vinny Soares, and Jean Carlo. Their debut album came out in 1993, and the single "Vou Fugir" became a hit in Brazil. They toured a lot during those years.
After some lineup changes, Paula Lima took over as the main figure in the band. They put out an album called "Confia em Mim" in 2000, which had a different sound from their earlier pop-funk material.
