Banda Tentação

Banda Tentação formed in Serra, Espírito Santo in 1996. Their early lineup included Tati Quebra-Barraco on vocals, André Pinguim on keyboards, Márcio Moreno on bass, and Ricardo Juquinha on drums. They released their self-titled debut album in 2002, which contained the song 'Cansei' that became their breakthrough hit.

'Cansei' connected with listeners in a way that went beyond typical pop success. The song's lyrics about weariness with injustice seemed to speak directly to people who felt marginalized or overlooked. It became something of an anthem in certain circles, though the band's straightforward approach and Tati Quebra-Barraco's direct delivery also drew criticism from more conservative listeners.

They followed with another track called 'Elas Ficam Loucas' that maintained their basic approach. The band's music generally stayed within the Brazilian pop and funk styles popular in their region during that period, with lyrics that often addressed everyday frustrations and social observations rather than romantic themes.
