Banda Whatever formed in São Paulo with Lucas Silveira on vocals and guitar, Felipe Dieder on bass, and Diogo Strausz on drums. Their debut album 'Endless Monday' came out in 2007, and the title track became their first real hit.
That album gave them songs like 'Menina' and 'Nossos Problemas' that stuck around in their setlists. They kept recording through the 2010s, putting out records like 'The Ballad of a Lost Soul' and 'The Age of Anxiety'.
In 2012, Silveira was arrested for cocaine possession, which caused some public trouble for the band. He addressed it directly and got treatment. They continued working after that, releasing 'A Symphony of Broken Dreams' in 2022.
