In 1979, their version of "Les Anges Dans Nos Campagnes" became widely known, turning the song into a Christmas standard for many French listeners. They recorded other songs like "Mon Beau Sapin" and "À Versailles," keeping to their folk style through the early 1980s.
The original lineup included Christian Paccoud on vocals and guitar, Jean-Jacques Milteau on vocals and harmonica, Gilles Chabenat on vocals and fiddle, Michel Esbelin on vocals and accordion, and Michel Foizon on vocals and bass. Members changed over time, but the group maintained its focus on traditional material.
