Barbados Inglorious formed in Porto in 2006 with José Correia on vocals, Rui Batista and Pedro Galhoz on guitars, Rui Carvalho on bass, and Miguel Ferreira on drums. They started out playing local gigs as an unsigned band. Their debut album 'O Pra Sempre Sempre Acaba' came out in 2008, and its title track became a hit in Portugal. The album got them a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Portuguese Golden Globes.
They followed that with albums like 'A Vida É Uma Dança' in 2010, 'Só Um Momento' in 2012, and 'O Caminho' in 2016. Guitarist Rui Batista left in 2015 and was replaced by Pedro Almeida. In 2012, there were some plagiarism accusations involving a Brazilian band, but those were dismissed. Another song people know is 'O Bom e Velho Vinho'.
They've toured around Portugal and Europe. Their music mixes rock with some Portuguese and Brazilian touches, but they've mostly kept the same lineup aside from that one guitar change.
