Batista Camargo was a Brazilian rock musician who first appeared in the late 1960s. He formed a band in 1970 with Paulo Cesar on guitar, Carlos Mello on bass, and Eduardo Barroso on drums.
In 1973, the band released their debut album 'Despertar do Instinto.' Its lead single 'Jeitinho de Puta' became widely known for its explicit lyrics about sexual acts. The song drew both strong support and criticism, with some calling it vulgar while others saw it as an expression of sexual freedom.
Their second album 'Censura Aqui Não Entra' came out in 1976, but didn't reach the same level of attention as their first. The band continued performing into the 1980s and 1990s, though with less commercial success. Camargo died in 2018.
