Their song "Você Pensa Que É Bonito Ser Feio" became an anthem for the scene. The title translates to "You Think It's Cool to Be Ugly," and it captured a certain defiant, anti-establishment mood. The track appeared on their 1985 compilation O Pior de Batoré.
They kept recording through the 1980s, putting out albums like Nós Vamos Invadir Sua Praia in 1986 and Agrotóxico in 1988. Their sound and lyrics often challenged norms, which drew criticism from more conservative quarters.
