BCL formed in 2007 in Medellín, Colombia, with Bosé on vocals, Edwin Sánchez on guitar, Andrés Prada on bass, and Jaime López on drums. They found their footing with the 2011 debut album 'Dile a La Luna,' whose title track became a hit. The song is a ballad that asks the moon to carry a message of love.
After that initial success, the band kept recording. They put out albums like 'Sin Miedo' in 2015 and 'La Conexión' in 2018. In 2017, a song called 'Mi Tierra' that commented on political issues in Venezuela drew some mixed reactions. Bosé also had a legal dispute with a former manager around 2014.
BCL's later work includes the 2021 album 'Alma.' The group, still fronted by Bosé, has toured and built an audience in Latin America and beyond with their live shows.
