Bcoz

Bcoz formed in the 1970s with Paul Carrack on vocals and guitar, Steve Groves on keyboards, Colin Hodgkinson on bass, and Terry Rowley on drums. Their sound drew from blues and rock, though they never settled into one predictable style. They worked through early lineup changes and financial pressure, which was common for bands trying to get established at that time.

In 1980, drummer Terry Rowley died suddenly, and the band took some time off before continuing with Adrian Lee. They released the album "Bad, Bad Rain" in 1982, which included the title track and other songs like "Dope" and "Goin' to New York." Carrack's voice gave their material a direct, soulful quality that connected with listeners.

Bcoz kept recording and playing shows into the 1980s, but they're remembered mostly for that 1982 album and a handful of songs that have held up. "Bad, Bad Rain" still turns up on playlists and radio sometimes, a straightforward ballad that doesn't sound dated.
