Bed & Breakfast

Bed & Breakfast was a duo active in the 1990s, with Bethany Campbell on vocals and Paul Francis handling instruments and production. They put out their first album independently in 1994, which they called 'Breakfast in Bed.' Their sound was often described as atmospheric and introspective, a quality that made some labels hesitant at first.

Their second album, 'Save My Heart,' came out in 1996 and included the title track that became their best-known song. That record moved them from the indie sphere into wider recognition. They followed it with 'Sleepwalking' in 1999, which would be their final studio album.

Campbell's lyrics on songs like 'Afraid Of The End' and 'Don't Turn Away' tended to focus on personal themes of love and vulnerability, which sometimes led listeners to speculate about her life. The duo's catalog, though small, maintained a consistent mood through Francis's layered production and Campbell's direct vocal delivery.
