Bellini

Bellini was an Italian electronic duo formed in 1996 by Maurizio Braccagni and Giancarlo Pasquini. They worked together on vocals and keyboards, creating dance tracks that mixed samba rhythms with house and techno. Their sound was built around that combination, which gave them a recognizable place in late-90s club music.

In 1999 they released "Samba de Amigo (Samba de Janeiro 2000)," which became their biggest hit. The track's upbeat samba loop and simple vocal hook made it a staple in clubs and on radio playlists internationally. Other songs like "Tic Tic Tac" and "Catch da Samba" followed a similar formula, keeping the energy high and the percussion front and center.

Bellini put out several albums, including Samba de Amigo in 1999 and Tropicalismo in 2003. Their music was straightforward dance material, less about innovation than about delivering a consistent, festive groove. After the early 2000s, their output slowed, and they haven't been particularly active in recent years.
