Ben Wu is a singer-songwriter from Beijing. He grew up with traditional Chinese folk music and later got into Western pop and rock, listening to The Beatles and Bob Dylan.
His 2005 single "Ài Nǐ Gānggāng Hǎo" became his breakthrough track. That song and "Ài Nǐ Gānggāng Hǎo" (which appears to be the same title in different scripts) are among his most recognized work.
In 2010, he faced a plagiarism accusation that was eventually dismissed. He has worked with producer Zhang Yadong and guitarist Peng Fei on some recordings.
