Bendeniz started making Turkish pop music in 1999. Their name means 'mine' in Turkish, which suggested a certain closeness with listeners. The group included Solmaz Çiros on vocals, Cem Bahtiyar on keyboards, and Gökhan Şahin on drums.
Their first album was called 'İnsanlar' in 1999, followed by 'Değer mi Hiç' the next year. In 2003 they released '80 Günde Devr-i Alem', which took its title from Jules Verne's novel. That song became widely known.
There was a break in activity around 2005, and they came back together in 2012. They've put out several albums since, including 'Son' that same year, 'Sonsuz' in 2015, and 'En Güzel Hikayem' in 2018. Other songs people remember include 'Ağaoğlu' and 'Ağlayayım mı?'.
