Fight to pay the rent and go on with your life

Tried to go to sleep but the stress is severe

Put on a fake smile when your no where near

I've walked that road and don't know where to go

Although my situation is more than straight and narrow

The words are the same, but the outcome is new

When you find your motivation was the hardest into

But that moment of peace at the brink of demise

His blood covers hope and his people arise

Have you ever looked down from the top of a cross

Then saved the saboteurs and your children lost

Have you ever stood silent while they cursed your name

Then hung among thieves, shouldering the blame

Has the crown of thorns ever touched your brow?

While your family denies you, and breaks their vow

When the stinging of whips scars your back

Would you continue on or go to attack

My issues are small in light of His pain

And His hope is everlasting, grace is the same
