Background notes

Archive material and source history

Bent Fabric formed in Los Angeles around 2007, with Alison Sudol on vocals and David Ryan Harris handling multiple instruments. They were joined by bassist Jacob Tilley and drummer Bradley Hanan Carter to round out the lineup.

Their debut single "Everytime" came out in 2010 and caught some attention with its atmospheric sound. That led to their first album Quiet Hours, which established them in indie circles. Sudol left in 2013 to work on solo material, and the remaining members put out a second album called Gravity in 2015.

Sudol returned in 2017 alongside new keyboardist Matthew Cohen, and the band released their third album The Way We Are. They've also had songs like "Keep On Rising" in their catalog.
