Crystal Bernard was born in Garland, Texas in 1961. She signed with Portrait Records in 1985 and released her debut album 'The Girl Next Door' that same year. The album included her most recognizable song, '(I Wanna Take) Forever Tonight,' a ballad that found some success on the charts.
Her second album came out the following year, titled 'Don't Touch Me There' after one of its tracks. She kept recording through the late 1980s, putting out 'In My Life' in 1988. Other songs from her catalog include 'Call It Love,' 'Could Have Been Mine,' and 'Eleven Roses.'
In the 1990s, Bernard also worked as an actress. She appeared on the sitcom 'Mad About You' playing Helen Hunt's sister Darlene. A compilation album, 'The Very Best of Crystal Bernard,' was released in 1997.
