Beth Lima

Beth Lima came from São João da Boa Vista and grew up singing in church choirs. Her 1995 debut album took its name from the track "Rajada de Glória," which became her signature song. Other songs like "Sem Medo de Amar" and "Vaso de Azeite" also found their way into Brazilian gospel playlists.

She kept recording through the 1990s and 2000s, putting out albums such as Espírito Santo in 1999 and Firme e Forte in 2001. Her voice carried straightforward worship tunes rather than elaborate productions, which sometimes drew comments from listeners who preferred more traditional arrangements.

In 2000, her divorce became a topic of discussion among fans, though it didn't stop her from releasing music. She continued with albums like Acende a Tua Luz and Maranata, and later ones including Salmo 23 in 2013. The focus stayed on songs you'd hear in church, without much shift in style.
