Bethany Joy Lenz

Bethany Joy Lenz is known to many from her role on the television series One Tree Hill, but she's also been making music for years. She put out her first independent album, Preincarnate, in 2002. A few years later, her duet with Tyler Hilton, When The Stars Go Blue, got a lot of attention when it came out in 2005.

She followed that with other albums like Into the Sun in 2007 and The Path We Lead in 2018. Songs like Halo and Don't Walk Away show her leaning into straightforward pop, while tracks like Elsewhere and Let Me Fall have a quieter, more reflective feel. She's worked with other musicians here and there, including Joy Williams and Chris Carrabba.

Her music doesn't really fit one genre neatly. It's mostly acoustic pop with some folk touches, built around her voice and piano. She writes her own material, and the songs tend to be personal without being overly dramatic. It's the kind of music that found an audience alongside her acting work, rather than in spite of it.
