A college-formed group that turned a 1993 single into a lasting alt-rock presence.
If you only know 'Good,' check out 'This Time Of Year' and 'Re-arranging The Bones.' They give you a better sense of what the band does.
Better Than Ezra's 'Good' was one of those mid-'90s alt-rock songs that just stuck around. It gave them a foothold on radio and MTV at a time when guitar bands were having a moment. They've kept at it ever since, with songs like 'This Time Of Year' and 'Re-arranging The Bones' showing they never really stopped writing.
They started at LSU in 1988 and put out their first album, 'Surprise,' two years later. 'Good' from the 1993 album 'Deluxe' broke through, and they kept releasing records through the '90s and into the 2000s. More recently, they've put out albums like 'Paper Empire' and 'All the Stars' on their own.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
