Beverly Craven

Beverly Craven released her self-titled debut album in 1990, which included the single 'Promise Me' that became a global hit. She studied music at the University of London after spending her childhood in Sri Lanka, Singapore, and England. Her songs like 'Mollie's Song' and 'I Listen To The Rain' often carry a straightforward emotional weight without much studio fuss.

In 1993, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis but kept the condition private for years before speaking about it publicly in 2009. She has released eight studio albums, including 'Love Scenes,' 'Naked' from 2000, and 'Close to Home' in 2014. The later work sometimes reflects her experiences with the illness.

She has worked with musicians like guitarist John Martyn and producer Steve Winwood. Her current band includes keyboardist Chris Hill, guitarist Pete Murray, bassist Paul Westwood, and drummer Neil Wilkinson.
