Archive material and source history
Beyond the Element formed in 2008 around vocalist and guitarist Luke Anderson and bassist and vocalist David Moskowitz. They started playing coffee shops and open mics around Seattle, working on acoustic material. In 2010, they recorded their debut album 'Thoughtless' with producer Matt Wallace, which included the track 'Thoughtless Acoustic Version'.
After that first album, they put out three more records. 'Falling' came next, then 'Astronauts and Aliens' in 2014, and 'The Sun Will Rise' in 2018. The band has stayed a trio, with Anderson and Moskowitz at the core. They've worked with other musicians occasionally, like violinist Lindsey Stirling and singer-songwriter Ben Gibbard.
