Bi-2

Bi-2 formed in Moscow during the mid-1990s, with Shura (Alexander Uman) and Leva (Egor Bortnik) at the center. Their debut album 'Eto Ne Lyubov' came out in 1998, and one of its tracks, 'Polkovniku Nikto Ne Pishet,' connected with listeners right away.

They've kept recording since then, putting out albums like 'Molotov Cocktail' and 'Luna.' Songs such as 'Volki' and 'Angely' show their range, moving between rock arrangements and more atmospheric pieces. The band has worked with other Russian musicians like Diana Arbenina and Zemfira.

Shura and Leva handle most of the writing and singing, backed by a rotating group of players that has included drummer Boris Lifshits and guitarist Max Lavrov. They've played major festivals and their music has turned up in films and on television. After more than twenty years, they're still making records and playing shows.
