Bianella

Bianella came out of Mexico City in the early 2000s, a Christian rock and pop band fronted by Bianella Silveira. Their debut album was called 'El Dios Que Yo Tengo,' which is also the name of one of their best-known songs. The record found an audience with listeners who connected to its straightforward expressions of faith.

Some religious figures at the time questioned the idea of mixing faith with popular music, but the band kept making music. They followed that first album with others like 'Más Que Vencedores' and 'Eres Todo.' The group included musicians like guitarist Daniel Luján, bassist Alfredo Morales, and drummer Juan Carlos Avendaño.

A song like 'Por Amor a Mi' gives a sense of their sound, direct, melodic, and built around Silveira's vocals. Their music circulated widely in Latin American Christian circles during that period.
