Big & Rich are John Rich from Fort Myers, Florida, and Big Kenny Alphin from Bristol, Virginia. They met in Nashville in 1996 and started working together. Their debut album 'Horse of a Different Color' came out in 2004 with songs like 'Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)' and 'Wild West Show.'
They've put out records like 'Comin' to Your City' in 2005 and 'Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace' in 2007. Some of their other songs include '8th Of November' and 'Leap Of Faith.' They've worked with Gretchen Wilson, Snoop Dogg, and Kenny Chesney.
In 2007 they had a legal dispute with a former associate. Their music mixes country with Southern rock and sometimes hip-hop rhythms, which gave them a different sound than what was typical in Nashville at the time.
