Big Foot formed in the early 2000s around vocalist and guitarist Casey Smith, with members coming from Echo Park. Their debut album 'Echoes of the Void' arrived in 2005, featuring the single 'I Need You' that got regular radio play. They followed it with 'The Weight of the World' and later 'Shadows of Doubt'.
During their run, the band faced some public questions about Smith's personal life and accusations about their third album. They kept playing shows and talking about social issues and mental health awareness. After about ten years of touring and recording, Big Foot went on indefinite hiatus in 2015. Smith started working on solo material, and the other members moved to different projects.
