Call it instinct, but I think she's gone for good this time

'Cause every time she's left she leaves her toothbrush behind

It just now dawned on me

I was thinking of us, and there it was

I bent down to pick up the trash off the waste basket and saw the worn down bristles of a toothbrush

And this could be the best thing for you and me

I don't know, it just feels like it
