Archive material and source history

The Big Tymers were a New Orleans hip-hop duo formed by brothers Bryan 'Birdman' Williams and Ronald 'Slim' Williams. They started as part of the Cash Money Records label, which Birdman and Slim co-founded in 1997. Their debut album 'How Ya Luv That?' came out that same year.

Their biggest hit was 'Still Fly,' which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Other tracks like '#1 Stunna' and 'Against The Wall' became staples of their catalog. The music had a Southern bounce with melodic hooks and lyrics about luxury and street life.

After releasing several albums including 'I Got That Work' and 'Hood Rich,' the duo stopped recording together around 2004. Birdman and Slim both continued working in music separately after that point.
