Editor's note

BIGFLO's steady, grounded hip-hop presence

A Korean hip-hop group known for their consistent, unflashy approach to the genre.

For a sense of their tone, try 'Sometimes' or 'Better Life'. They're good examples of the group's unadorned style.

BIGFLO has built a catalog of straightforward hip-hop tracks that avoid the flashier trends of the scene. Songs like 'Sometimes' and 'Better Life' offer a more grounded, everyday perspective. Their work feels like a steady presence rather than a sudden splash.

The group's song titles suggest a focus on personal reflection and forward motion, from 'First Flow (Intro)' to 'Better Life'. There's a throughline about navigating ordinary life without much grand narrative.

BIGFLO debuted in 2014 with the single "Bad Mama Jama" under Big Ocean ENM. The seven-member group included Euijin, Hightop, Ron, Sungmin, Zico, Jungkyun, and Yuseong. They followed up with tracks like "Delilah" and "Upside Down," showing a mix of hip-hop and pop styles.

Contract disputes led to a hiatus in 2016, and some members left. They returned in 2017 with the mini-album "Incendio," but faced mixed reception. That same year, Hightop was expelled after assault allegations, and the group sued their agency over management issues.

BIGFLO disbanded in 2019. Afterward, Euijin and Zico turned to acting, while Hightop and Ron kept making music. The others stepped back from public view.
