Billy Burnette

Billy Burnette grew up around rockabilly music. His father Dorsey Burnette was a songwriter and singer, and his uncle Johnny Burnette was a rockabilly figure. That family background shaped his own musical direction.

In 1982, he co-wrote and released "Are You With Me Baby" with Keith Stegall. The song became his most recognizable track, helping him find an audience during a rockabilly revival period. Other songs like "I Miss You Darling" and "(Can't Stop) Got a Little Rock In My Shoe" followed a similar upbeat, guitar-driven style.

He's recorded both solo albums and worked with other musicians over time, including Paul Burlison and Brian Setzer. His music has appeared in some films and television shows, though he's mostly remained a steady presence in rockabilly circles rather than a mainstream star.
