Billy Negra formed in 2010 with Lucas Silveira on vocals and guitar, Pedro Pelotas on bass, and Pedro Seiler on drums. They put out a debut EP called 'The Summer of '08' that year. Their song 'Crush (Things To Tell Her)' became a kind of standard for them, one of those tracks people kept coming back to.
In 2015, Silveira came out as transgender, which brought the band some attention and pushback from certain corners. Other songs like 'Crystal Clear' and 'Hey Hey' filled out their catalog with a straightforward indie rock feel.
