They released their first album, Unveiling Starlight, in 2003. Over the next decade, they put out three more records: Celestial Tides in 2006, The Silence Between in 2009, and Echoes of Memory in 2012. The band's lineup included Elijah Smith on vocals and guitar, Harper Jones on bass, and Sadie Campbell on drums.
Bird 3's career had some rough patches. Smith had drug problems that led to legal trouble in 2007, which disrupted their touring. The band was known for being unpredictable in interviews and performances, which sometimes put them at odds with the music industry.
