Black-Guayaba formed in Madrid in the late 1990s with Miguel Ángel Márquez on vocals and guitar, Andrés Herrera on bass, and Javier Rodríguez on drums. Their debut album was called 'Guayaba,' and they later put out records like 'Acústico' and 'Revolución.'
Their song 'Atrapado' became known for its protest lyrics about social and economic injustice. Alba Molina sang on that track, and flamenco singer Diego 'El Cigala' appeared on their first album.
Musically, they mixed Latin rhythms with rock guitars, and their later work brought in touches of flamenco, funk, and hip-hop. Other songs in their catalog include 'Aunque No Estés Aquí' and 'Despacio.'
