Black 'N Blue

Black 'N Blue formed in Portland, Oregon in 1981, during a period when heavy metal was dominant. They leaned toward a more melodic hard rock sound that had some pop and glam touches. Their debut album included the track 'Hold On To 18,' which became their best-known song.

They released several albums through the 1980s and 1990s, including 'Without Love' and 'NastyNasty.' Other songs like 'Action' and '12 O'clock High' show their straightforward rock approach. The band's lineup shifted over time, with guitarist Tommy Thayer and bassist Jaime St. James among the members during their active years.

Thayer later joined Kiss as a guitarist. The group's music, particularly 'Hold On To 18,' still gets played on rock radio sometimes. They were part of that era's rock scene without becoming a major commercial force.
